The Touch Tanks
Our town is so cool. We have a very small, but friendly aquarium at the marina. They have one huge sunken tank of flounder, sea anenomies, sea cucumbers, and various other fish as well as crabs. There are a few smaller tanks around the perimeter of the room that house jumbo shrimp, sea anemonies, and frequently an octopus. We found out that they have added a tank that has a big bubble that you can stand up in and have the fish swim around you. There is also an ice cold tank that you can put your hands in to touch the crabs, sea anemonies, sea cucumbers, etc. Aunty Grace was up for Labor Day weekend. She is an Aquatics Fanatic (Swimmer that is), and we knew she would enjoy this outing. The girls were dressed up in their cute matching shorts and top sets that Georgia had given them, and off we all went to the Marina. Again Galina showed caution in approaching the tanks and she would not stand up in the bubble tank. She enjoyed watching the fish from a safe distance. On the other hand, Valerie is into everything and willing to try anything. She loved the bubble with the fish swimming around her and she wanted to dive right in to the large tank with the flounder. Mommy had to hold on real tight to keep her dry. Even at the touch tank she showed no discomfort over the water being so cold. I am going to have to watch out for this one.
We then had a nice walk to the bay side park where we ate a lunch, watched kite flyers, and played on the playground. It is always fun to take the girls out. They enjoy playing so much and being out and about. They don't mind car rides as it usually takes them some place fun.

I didn't know this! Thanks. Next week at this time we will be home at last. The ten days are never waived in our area.
Best,
